Just downloaded to my IMAc .. no problems .. immediate download in a few seconds and then the usually updates took a minute or so. Imported last years details ect ect ..All good. PS I am running MOJAVA operating system ….. no issues .

I have been doing my own taxes with TurboTax since the 1980’s. I have always been satisfied with the program but also impressed by their ability to keep up with IRS and Congressional manipulation (often well into the 11th hour).

i appreciate the ease with which one can carry forward your inputs from prior years… I have been using Turbo tax for at least 10 years. It does become easier each year, though it would be nice if one year they get the transition from Federal to Pennsylvania right. (But by now I know what to expect and how to manually correct it.) With the changes in the tax code, I will count on Turbo Tax to guide me through it even though I have read much over the past year about the changes and strategies to cope with it.

I have used H&R Block for the past few years because it was less expensive and did a fine job. I have used Turbo Tax previously. But last year my taxes were more complicated and the H&R Block help was poor. I remember how good the Turbo Tax help was so I bought Turbo Tax for 2018 taxes. I have not done much of my taxes yet this year but the little I have done shows me that the help should make my taxes easier to do. Turbo Tax is more expensive, but when I think of how much time I spent last year trying to find tax answers, the extra expense should more that pay for itself in time savings and less frustration.

I like Turbotax and I’ve used it for many years. Lately I’ve had to go into “forms” mode to finalize taxes. I wish the software was cheaper. But for my needs, I could not switch to anything else. I can also do my Mom’s tax returns with it too.

After reading some of the reviews describing problems, I am glad to announce that operates well on MacBook Pro OS Mojave 10.14.2. I have been using TurboTax of various levels annually since at least 2001. The program requires some knowledge of your own tax situation – income, income sources, deductions, supporting documents, local taxes, and so forth. Technical support is OK once you get through the automated system – USA based.
Each of the tax preparation programs has quirks ans issues. Being familiar with TurboTax over the years helped my decision to purchase on this year.
